Description

ImageJ currently supports rectangular images with calibration, but it would be nice to have a standard mechanism for associating coordinate systems or other domain set metadata with an image.

For more information see the thread " Coordinate systems" on the ImageJX discussion group.

In theory, ImgLib2 RealViews will provide the functionality we need. But we also need ImageJ2 to actually *handle* the data properly. We currently have no use cases for this, so this feature is a low priority, but this ticket will remain open to keep track of the current status.
