OPS: improve statistical function support

Description

The set of statistical functions in OPS is somewhat limited. Provide a nice set of functions for calculating stats.

With the merging more ops-stats there is additional statistical function support. Many functions have been renamed to be more user friendly and mathematically accurate. Finally also made sure the calculation of stats uses less memory than before.
