Hi Mohamed,

It seems I may have misinterpreted your question. There is also now a
ticket for saveing and restoring overlays from within the Overlay Manager:
http://trac.imagej.net/ticket/1936. It is scheduled for beta 9 (and we are
currently developing beta 8).
