I have CCed you on the tickets so you will be apprised of status updates.

I did not enter any ticket for the fill issue. I am unable to duplicate the
problem. The fill values can be set in the Options :: Channels dialog or by
choosing pixels of any image using the dropper. The dropper always draws
it's icon in black and white. Is this the real issue you're getting at? If
not please let me know a series of steps to do to duplicate the problem.
