Bug ID: 1251
Summary: Incomplete installation of Fiji and ImageJ
Product: Fiji
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P4
Component: Plugins
Assignee: imagej-bugs at imagej.net
Reporter: devs87 at gmail.com

Hi,
I have spent the last few hours trying to install ImageJ or Fiji on my Windows7
but without any success. I download the zip folder, extract the files and run
the exe (ImageJ exe for ImageJ download and ImageJ-win64.exe from the Fiji App
folder). I found it unusual that the Fiji app folder did not have a fiji-win64
application file like the wiki page describes. The reason I think there is a
bug, is because neither my ImageJ download or Fiji download resulted in an
installed program under Programs and Features on the Control Panel. Is that
normal? How do I make sure the installation is complete and do I need to access
the .exe file each time I need to open and use the program? Please advice!
