The drawing is essentially verbatim from a photograph that Johannes & I

What about using something like the image below, possibly converted to

Unfortunately, Adam is leaving the team, and will not have time to develop
any more vectorized images. Also, keep in mind that the image must be simple
enough to be discernible at various smaller resolutions including 32x32 and
even 16x16 (with a little tweaking).

Perhaps we should do a similar thing for the logo as with the About dialog
images: let's hold an open contest where people can submit candidate logos,
and then the community can vote on the one they like best. What do you
think?
