Please understand that the modern mode is only a preview at the moment (as I
made quite clear in my announcement mail a couple of months back).

Therefore, I am not surprised that using a legacy plugin interacting with the
modern GUI does not quite work yet... we focus on the image processing plugins
first, and before they work correctly, I will probably put less emphasis on
fixing legacy plugins unrelated to processing images.

And no, the "Fiji won't quit" (unless this is a backhanded comment at our
dedication to keep going with this underfunded project) is not a problem I am
aware of... I thought we had nailed that. Please feel free to file another bug
report for that, with a macro reproducing the error.
