Hi Sebastian,

 You can try launching in debug mode[1] - by launching from the command line
you will see many more error messages that would otherwise be lost.

 You can also turn the ImageJ debug mode on[2] which should allow more error
messages to show up in the log.

Hopefully these options will at least allow you to identify the error message.
