Recently, the brightness-contrast GUI corrupts RGB images when attempting to
use the sliders controls to adjust images. Calling B/C will work normally on
the one image active when called, but for all others, it will produce
large+permanent brightness changes. Going back to the original window will now
corrupt it as well. 
Close/reopen B/C per image might be a short term work around.
[My workflow: create 3D projection, run color/stack-to-RGB, adjust B/C]
