Hi Curtis,
I didn't describe any hack for this: I didn't have a clue what would work. All
I said was "as is" it is rubbish in that it always returns false. If any
program is building on it, the program will fail.

There are multiple things which don't work here, and in my opinion at least,
they need to be dealt with.
