Source: ij_COELI.txt Installation: Copy the file ij_COELI.txt to your ImageJ plugins folder (ex: C:\Program Files\ImageJ\plugins), then restart ImageJ. Description: This plugin evaluates the COvariancE of Lucky Images for increasing contrast and resolution of astronomical binary objects. It reduces a stack of raw Lucky Images by first re-centering them with respect to the maximum and then evaluating the covariance. You can find a theoretical treatment of it in: Covariance of lucky images for increasing objects contrast: diffraction-limited images in ground-based telescopes, Manuel P. Cagigal et al., Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (2016)
To use, open a stack of Lucky Images and select an area to look for the maximum to be recentered (see figure below). Then call this macro from the menu.
