2016/02/05: Initial Release
Drag and drop AxonJ_.class to the ImageJ window or download and install using the Plugins>Install command, and an AxonJ command will appear in the plugins menu.
AxonJ counts and segments whole-nerve axons in images and whole nerve images of paraphenylenediamine (PPD) stained whole nerve rodent optic nerves.
If the image resolution is available, AxonJ will use that, otherwise you need to enter the scale of the image. AxonJ depends on the FeatureJ plugin, included in Fiji by default, but ImageJ (version 1.50g or later) users will need to install this plugin.
We included sample images of an optic nerve patch captured at 1000x magnification (total) as well as downsampled images at (0.5X, 0.75X).
