        <pre>I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior - on OSX 10.10.3 with Java 1.6.0_65 I
can add the micro-manager-dev update site, and subsequently disable it with no
problem.

My first guess would be that there is some negative interaction with another
update site. The wiki[1] outlines a search technique to identify problematic
update sites/plugins - would you be able to test in this manner?

As a side note, this update site isn't on the public list[2] and I couldn't
find any documentation about it - where did you find it?

Finally, you may also want to try the Micro-Manager mailing list[3] since they
would be the maintainers of this update site, if it is intended for public use.
