On a side-note, there is quite some demand for reading HDF5 based images with
the Bio-Formats library, e.g. the SVI (Huygens) flavour:
https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/4104
Right now, we're using Olaf's Fiji plugin to read the SVI .h5 files, which seem
to store the pixel data in one single 5-dimensional array with CTZYX layout.
I have to say that I'd absolutely love to see the JHDF5 plugin merge with
scifio-hdf5, that would be amazing!
